Alberta apprenticeship ratios frustrate his job search

For some time, we have been getting posts that the apprenticeship ratios in Alberta are (a) not enforced and/or (b) not working.

Here is a post we recently received from a young worker in Alberta…

Something needs to be done. There no reason to ever finish an apprenticeship as you’re just making yourself unemployed. I have not been able to find work for over three months so far this year: I’m finding nothing but a million apprentice listings. The board needs to do their job, get off there asses and do something about this. People are paying top dollar for shoddy work with under-trained personnel.
